I’d like to see an article on sewing with doublecloth. I see very attractive jackets in the stores, costing $300-1000. I’d like to make one, and would like suggestions on best construction techniques. I’d also welcome helps on modifying published patterns for use with doublecloth.

What is double cloth.
Double cloth is reversible fabric, most often wool, that is like 2 pieces of fabric attached together with thread, back to back. Sometimes the 2 fabrics are different colors.
Oh, O.K. I bought some of that in fleece. The red and black coat I made is a double fleece.
Great suggestion, Holly.
Thanks so much
There was an article in Threads a while back by Judith Neukam (not sure of spelling) on designer Ralph Rucci's technique of sewing double cloth. Try the Threads index for Ralph Rucci or "double cloth sewing technique". Z
I saw that article and saw it online, but I would like to see an article that covers all aspects and deals with possible problems (like choosing/adapting a pattern, finishing edges, etc). The jackets in the stores look great, and I would like my project to be successful too. The fabric is fairly expensive, so a good result is important.
