Looking for a “how to” book on making small handbags (cocktail, etc.) — one that includes sources for findings, etc. Anyone? Ednadita |

Check out "Handmade Bags" by Terence Terry. Has a source list for materials, but not really for handles, but suggests some innovative ideas to make them. Nice color photos and instructional drawings.
Thanks. I'll have a look at it'

Dear Ed,
M & J Trimming has handbag handles, but I don't think that they have other findings. Check their website.

Since sources come and go anything included in a book may or may not still be available. If you enter "purse handles hardware" into a search engine you will find lots of sources for the non-fabric parts, and maybe some for fabrics too.
You may want to look at Linda McPhees books for instructions and supplies. I am sure that you will be able to find her projects and products listed in any sewing magazine as well as Threads.
most comprehensive catalogue of handbag accessories I have ever seen has to be at http://www.umei.com
