manual for old kenmore

craigs | Posted in The Archives on

I am looking for a manual for an old sears sewing machine that has been handed down. The model # didn’t come up in the parts search on sears web page.

The model number is 117.217 and it says “Franklin Deluxe Rotary” on the front. It is a cabinet model and I’m guessing is about 50 years old.

Specifically we are trying to find out how to thread it.
Thanks for any help.

That Kenmore was made by White.

You can get a threading diagram off the ISMACS site at http://www.ismacs.net. Go to "W" for White, then "Threading Diagram".

You can get manual copies from Millie McKenzie at http://www.sewwhat.net/millie/H.sm_manualsCOPIES.htm

She had both Franklin Rotary and White Rotary manuals available.
