Marfy patterns

WandaJ | Posted in Patterns on

Please share some of your experiences with using the subject pattern. This very well may have been covered on this site; however, with the site’s update, I’m having trouble finding ‘search.’ Some experience sharing in this medium will too be helpful. Thanks to everyone that contributes in either, or both areas.

P. S. Where is the spellchecker on the site?!

The blooger on this next URL is a Marfy pattern user.  Look left for the menu.  Scroll to Categories.  Then to Marfy.  if you have ?'s, I'd guess you could be in touch with Phyllis through the Comments option..

Hi there. You can also find 137 (as of today) reviews of various Marfy patterns at patternreview.com. I almost feel disloyal suggesting it, but Threads has nothing similar. I wish they did have a pattern review feature here, but frankly, since Patternreview is so large and comprehensive, it would likely just create duplication.

The Mafry patterns are very stylish, but do notice of course that the real wearers of Marfy garments aren't shaped like the Barbie dolls shown in the fashion illustrations on the pattern envelopes (they all seem to have teeny waists, long, slim torsos and very long legs) - so the patterns made up (a few of which which you'll see pictures of at patternreview.com) don't look as much like the envelope drawings as, say, Kwik Sew patterns. To look more closely you can also see larger Marfy envelope pics at voguepatterns.com (click on Other Brands) on the lower left column.

As for spellcheck - no idea. I don't see it here, but don't worry. Your writing's fine!

    Hope that helps!
