I’ve made several coats for my family and I’d like to finish them off with the metal chain-type loops for ease of hanging–like the ones Geiger uses on their coats. Does anyone know where I can find these? Thanks

I would call M& J Trimming in New York 212-391-9072. They Have EVERYTHING. pocketbook handles, buttons, ribbons, the little metal ends of things, buckles, tassles, fringe, tiaras, beads, sequins, applique motifs, adorable neato closures, zipper pulls... What they have is ehough to boggle the mind. They have it in three separate stores. I have never found them particularly friendly (folks who are used to REALLY polite service may be put off) but they will get you what you need even if it is while they are seemingly talking to another salesperson while you are in there.
*If you mean the metal chains sewn in at the bottom of the coat for weight, I believe I've seen these at Ghee's. She is the lady who sells the purses and texture on textiles books and techniques.
*Haberman Fabrics in Royal Oak, Mi carries weight chain in gold and silver finishes, $2.30/ft. Telephone 248 541 0010. Very good quality, dense; the type used in Chanel style jackets.
