Metallic Thread

sporty | Posted in General Sewing Info on

I find when I work with metallic threads I have to adjust the tension a little. I’m just starting to play with “Bobbin work”! So I also am treading in uncharted waters, plus just coming out (I pray) of a creative block, which for those of you who never experienced one …it’s HORRIBLE.

Hi Sporty:  Check out the book "Machine Quilting with decorative threads" by Maurine Noble and Elizabeth Hendricks.  It might be a great help to you, even if you want to work with decorative threads on clothing and not quilting.  It is full of a lot of terrific tips and I've found it to be most helpful.  Good luck ...and Enjoy!
