I have been hunting everywhere for a military style sweater pattern. It has a shawl collar. I have looked everywhere but what I find are foldover shawl collars, not one that stays flat. Anyone have any ideas????

Are you referring to a sweater which has an insert, rather than a collar? This style has a neckline that basically has a wedge taken out of it, and then has a placket to fill the gap. Sometimes there are buttons, or a small zipper. I'm not explaining it very well, I know! Maybe I can find a pic somewhere.
