Hello,
Any must visits for fabrics, clothing related museums, etc. in Dallas? I’m looking forward to nearly a week in Dallas in May. We also would love to hear some musical theater, gospel music, blues, any “old” music without a nightclub scene. We would also like to visit thrift stores, etc.
Any suggestions would be so appreciated. I’m having trouble finding information on the web.

Since you love gospel and blues music you simply must go to the Sunday Gospel brunch at House of Blues. I can't remember if it's in Ft. Worth or Dallas.
We visit our daughter in Argyle, TX (just north of Ft. Worth) regularly but I've yet to find any worthwhile fabric stores. Maybe other readers can help with that.

Thanks. I did read about the gospel brunch. It is done in April. I know we would have loved it!
There are two fabric stores in the Dallas area that are listed in Threads magazine. The Grapevine Collection, Hurst, Texas (Dallas/Fort Worth area) 817-514-6061 http://www.sewitup.com and Fabrique Fashion Fabrics 401 W. Pres, George Bush Highway, Suite 122, Richardson TX. 866-219-2735 http://www.fabriquefabrics.com . A friend in my Guild has been to Fabrique Fashion Fabrics and says it is nice. There are a couple others she has been to also. The Fabric Affair 101 S. Coit Road, Suite 339, Richardson, TX http://www.fabricaffair.com and Kay's Fabric Center, 518 West Arapaho, #113, Richardson, [email protected]. I was able to get on each of these websites. Hope you will find some really good things.
Harry Hines Blvd or Dr. ! Sam Moon's is on Harry Hines as well as fabric stores galore! These are all discount places, not the latest fashion but good fabrics, linings, laces, home/dec, etc. Have to rush off now but if you want more, email!
