Beautiful work!  Those embroideries are perfect, and I love the coordinating lining fabric!  Someone will really enjoy them!  Bless you for all you do for others!  Mary

I love the Angel most of all, she looks like she's flying.  The lining is great too.  Very creative and should raise lots of money.

I absolutely love those bags! Such great designs and the lining is perfect! It would be crazy to pass these up - let us know how it goes!

Thanks!  I hope they fetch a tidy sum.  I wasn't very clear on posting to 'the others'......I thought about sending to ALL but what I meant was the other gals that wrote comments besides Mary.

I hope I find out what the bags bring.........we usually don't hang around for the end of the silent auction.  It's a big event here with a relay lasting all night.  DH is a survivor and walks the survivors walk at the very beginning.  That is in the evening and then groups walk all night long...........raising money for research.  Our local area raised over $200,000 dollars last year between pledges and the auction.  Pretty impressive I think!  If I find out what they go for, I surely will post it........especially if it's really good.........I can pump myself up a bit! :-) ha ha

Wow!  That's just great!  It's wonderful that you and your daughter donate to such a worthy cause.  It's wonderful that your husband is a survivor and is able to do all that he does!  Mary

The bags are beautiful - excellent job!  How many did you make?  Did others make them, too? or did they make different items?  Yes, do let us know how the auction went.

Thanks!  I just made the two...........I didn't think about it until I was nearly past the deadline for entries and then we were in Texas for a graduation.  I made the bags yesterday and dropped them off today.............whew!  Got 'er done!  Others donate other items.  My daughter has a business of baby items and she donated a basket of things from her line (http://www.bebebelladesigns.com).  Others give whatever......either from their business or a purchased thing.

I do hope the sale goes well.

The sale should be great, if all the donated items are as excellent as your bags.  It's unbelievable that you made 2 so quickly - again, excellent work!

          Thanks!  You make me blush........

Don't blush (how modest :)) - be proud!  You deserve all the compliments you are receiving here.

These are beautiful bags.  The coordinating pink ribbon lining is just perfect!  I'm sure the bags will fetch a tidy sum at the auction.

We have house guests this weekend, and will miss the annual Komen Race for the Cure.  My Mom is a breast cancer survivor (15+ years!), and this is a cause that's dear to her heart.  She's also been involved with the Relay for Life as well.  Bless you for contributing to the fundraising efforts.

Thanks!  I should have done more but time escaped me........as usual!  I'm usually a 'day late and a dollar short'!!  Ha ha

I lost my mom to breast cancer back when they didn't have all the technology of today.......1971.  DH had colon cancer surgery and chemo following in 2001/2002.  He's fine now and so very lucky.  He had no real symptoms and when finally found, it was advanced.  The saving grace was that it had walled itself off and stayed inside the colon and didn't affect other organs.

I've had two breast cancer scares and even DD had a scare when she was 18!!  I guess it's fair to say that cancer is a cause near and dear to me as well.

Kay, I'm sorry about the loss of your mother, but glad that your husband had such a good outcome.  Mom is doing great as well, and in her quiet, gentle way offers support and encouragement to others in the community who are going through treatment.

What a blessing she must be.  My mom started with colon cancer in 1958, then breast cancer in '69.......oh, I misquoted the date of her death....that was my dad (heart).....mom passed away in 1978 so she battled off and on for all those years.  What a strong lady she was!  I still miss her so........we were very close.  I am an only child.  Now the roles are somewhat reversed.........I'm the mom and my daughter and I are really close.  Too bad she never knew her grandma as she was just one year old when mom passed.
