Traveling through Paducah, KY, last week, I discovered the National Quilt Museum. Wow. I’m not a quilter, but these quilts were just breathtaking. I felt compelled to rush through, and regret that now, wishing I’d taken time to read about each quilter and try to remember the artists’ names. Anyone else visited this museum?

Anyone traveling to Paducah, be sure to visit the flood wall to see the beautiful murals. As you leave the NQM, the area I am speaking of is toward downtown and to the left. You can walk from the NQM, or drive - there is parking nearby.
Also, another place of interest is Hancock of Paducah (West of the museum, near the interstate) - be sure to take an empty suitcase with you.

Yes, the flood wall is really worth seeing. I loved comparing the murals of the early town with the buildings still standing.I saw the Hancock of Paducah, but didn't dare to go in. Twinge of regret now.
