I am looking for a good book (or just information) on needle felting that explains wool roving (is it just yarn or is it yarn that isn’t spun yet) and a book which has ideas for embellishing garments. I have a needle felting machine and the book that comes with it, but I am puzzled about just what i can do with it.

Wikipedia has a good definition of roving. I have this book from Indygo Junction (I bought it from Overstock NAYY to both companies). I bought another book but don't remember the title. I bought these last January. There are a lot more books out now.
I didn't have much success googling for needle felting on clothes. I did find this needle felted sweaters project on Martha Stewart's web site. It is designed for hand needle felting but might give you some ideas.
