Needle Holes in Fabric

mharvey | Posted in General Sewing Info on

Hi all, I’m new to this forum, but have been sewing for about 6 years.  I’m working with a new fabric for me – a leather-look backed fleece, and I’m making a coat for my husband.  However, I’ve had to make some adjustments and I now have visible stitching holes.  Is there any way to get rid of them.

If the material is really leather there really is nothing that you can do now.  However if the material is really ultrasuede or something of that nature then perhaps a good steaming and a soft brush will help you at least minimize the appearance of the holes.  Good luck.
