Needle punch or felting maching

flowershouse | Posted in General Discussion on

I am considering buying a needlepunch machine/felting machine.  Janome and Baby Lock each make one as well as Sewing with Nancy.  Does anyone know anything about any of them.  I cannot find any review at all.  I am just getting back into sewing and have a Bernina.  I don’t know much about the Janome or Baby Lock brand.  Is one better than the other one.  And what about the one that Sewing with Nancy sells.  Any info would be great

I compared all four: Fab Felter, Janome, Huskystar and Babylock and chose the Babylock because:

    1. it felts faster

    2. it has 7 rather than 5 needles

3 you can change one needle at a time rather than the whole cartridge, the needles are expensive. and sometimes you might want to use only two or three needles for something delicate.

I bought mine from an authorized babylock dealer for $299. when I told him I could buy one  on ebay for that price.  You are going to love it  Really.
