I am not sure this machine is sold through a dealer. A new sew-er needs some hands-on help from time to time.
If you sew and can help her, then I see no reason to not purchase the machine.

I notice that you used "sew-er" just as I do. I think we are in the minority as most have been using "sewist".
Sewist sounds too communist and socialist.
No one wants to be referred to as a seamstress - that was grandma's occupation.
I wonder if tailors have identity issues (lol).
