Hi,

I am a new discussion group member. I have many sewing interests and I don’t think I have any one favorite “type” of sewing.  I dabble in quilting, fashion sewing, “crafty” sewing, etc. (but master of none).   Right now I am working on a Captain Hook costume for my son. Of course I had to go overboard as usual and am making it accurate right down the style of shoes he wears.  Haha, my son is only 22 months old and doesn’t even know who Captain H is but I don’t care.  I am having fun anyway.

Welcome to the forum!  Costumes are so fun to make!  DH's loves Halloween, we get very carried away decorating for this.  The children and grandchildren and neighbors always have lots of fun with us too.  The youngest costume I have seen was a pregnant kangaroo with a joey in her pocket, and a preschool teacher also as a kangaroo with her new baby in her pouch with a little kangaroo suit on!  One year I accidentally scared my own son when I dressed as a witch and he cried so hard, I felt terrible!

A young couple near us have a three and a five year old child.  Every year they dress up as a family.  Last year the daddy was even Prince Charming!

Hope you enjoy this group as much as I do!  Mary
