New to Serging

Chase | Posted in General Discussion on

Hi everyone,
I finally bought a serger and will take the free class offered by my dealer. But then what? Can anyone recommend any good books so that I can teach myself? Or on-line classes? It looks so complicated! Thanks for any advice, Chase

    Hello Chase,

This book that Mary in Colorado recommended to me is wonderful. It is called Serger Secrets by Rodale.

I highly recommend the book The Ultimate Serger Answer Guide . . . It was recommended when I purchased my serger a few years ago and it really helped me understand sergers, how to adjust settings to achieve the results I want, troubleshoot problems, using different types of threads, needles, etc. . .. . and lots of clear photographs and diagrams.  It's $11.02 on Amazon.com.
