I tried but got a message from Norton Security that it was blocked due to 'high risk' virus in it!!  I emailed HV and got a response that a technical error caused them to 'lose their feed'.........and they are planning to re-run it at a later date.........watch for an email if you were signed up for the webcast.  I did get the last email today with regard and watched that.  It seems it's much like the SE only better!  Bigger embroidery field (quite a bit bigger) and more space from needle to machine on the right (good for quilters) and the screen is supposed to be better..........I thought mine is fine!  It looks great but unless they give me mucho bucks for my SE, I don't know that I see a trade in my future.........at least unless the economy does great things!  I suppose I could trade my two SEs in for one Diamond but that would be like shooting myself in the foot!!!! ha ha

Interested to read what others think of the new one.  It does look nice......have no idea what kind of price tag is on it!!??

Yes I agree, if there is no significant improvement over the SE LE, I may tryto buy the SE LE, my dealer said to look for a price tag of 9000.00 for the diamond.  Got to go to work tomorrow, I work call (nurse) 8am-4pm, I work out patient surgery.

I signed up for the webcast, I did not get an email.

Talk to you tomorrow after work.  Have a nice day!

I just went to the Husq. website and looked at the Diamond.......checked out all the difference on the comparison chart.  I have the Original SE with all updates (I update via the computer whenever they notify me) and quite frankly, unless they would give me full purchase price for trade in, I don't know that I could justify the extra expense.  There are a few more stitches, a much larger sewing field and a much larger embroidery field.  I don't quilt so the sewing area isn't a big deal and I don't know that I would do large embroideries (that large anyway!) often enough to warrant.  My SEs were a trade up from the Designer I and I honestly don't remember what I paid.  The one I got at survey, they quoted somethings around $5,5,00 I think.  That's not accurate but I think it was in that range somewhere.  Of course, I had to purchase the software but I got th 3d Studio and it wasn't that expensive....I got that with the D-1 and still use the same.

Well, there are my ideas on it.  It's a lovely machine and for someone who does jacketbacks, etc. it might be well worth the $$$$ ........for me, I saw a lot of things that are already on my machines.........I don't need new for that!  Just a few items that the Diamond has that I don't.........and most were things I guess I don't see at crucial to what I do.

Take care...........let me know your thoughts............this is interesting!

I waited and waited for the big unveiling of the new machine, unfortunately my webcast had the same problems as everyone else.  What a disappointment.  I really thought the upgrades would blow me over, they didn't.  I don't quilt so I have no need for a bigger sewing area.  I have the SE LE and would not upgrade to the new machine for that reason alone and the rest of upgrades aren't that great.

Jessie3, 9000 is way to high for the SE LE.  I purchased mine right before Christmas and got the machine, complete 4D package and a few other things for 7200 with no interest.  Plus 15 hours of lessons on the machine and lessons on the 4D package.  Now that the Diamond is out I would think that the SE LE would be priced lower than that.  Go to another dealer and find a better price.

Didn't blow me away either!  I'm happy with my SE and after looking at the comparison chart between the SE and the Diamond, I'm even happier.........I've got all the bells and whistles I need and don't have to spend any more money!!  I can see the large sewing area nice for quilters..........the embroidery hoop (the ginormous one) nice if one does jacketbacks, etc. but not for the stuff I tend to do..........

My nice SEs will get a loving pat and stay in their present home.........at least for the foreseeable future!!!!!!!
