newbie blazer pattern question

I am new to sewing challenging clothing pieces. I am currently nearing the end of constructing a lined blazer. The back lining piece with a vent is cut in on one side but the back jacket piece does not cut in- I’ve rechecked my pattern pieces several times to see if I had used the wrong piece, or if I cut it incorrectly, but all checked out. The instructions say to match up one side and lining, and it does match up. But the other side does not match up as shown- the jacket back piece does not cut in at the vent. What am I missing here? I looked to see if the jacket vent on that side is supposed to fold over, but the pattern view does not show it that way. Doesn’t make sense. Can anyone clear this up for me? Did I explain this clearly? Please help…so close to finishing..

Lining Jacket
Which pattern is being used?
Does the pattern use the same pieces for the lining as for the jacket?
If all else fails, pattern companies sometimes have a customer service number that can provide assistance.
Back lining pieces usually have a part to cover the inside of the vent and a part to cut off for the outside part of the vent. I know this is likely clear as mud!
