Hi Jatman,Bravo on the sash. It is gorgeous. I love the material and it looks great tied the way you have it.Marcy
Thank you, Marcy! It actually turned out better than I thought it would.

Very pretty fabric! Now you've made me want to do one...

I loved the fabric so much that I had to really psych myself up even to cut into it! The good news is that even if I'd messed it up, the fabric would still have been pretty!

Your Obi is beautiful! I'm sure it makes nearly any outfit look elegant! Great job!
Thank you! My dress form hasn't given it up long enough for me to wear it yet!
JT
And I'm thinking about getting a dress form!!! Are they all so selfish!?! Please tell your form (Does she have a name?) that sharing is part of her job description!
I've put a dress form along with a 50% discount coupon on my wish list for Christmas. Both have disappeared, so I'm hoping my DH is considering it!
They are incredibly selfish and demanding! You will find that they take up all your time trying to dress them in the stylish way that they quickly become accustomed to! I had so much more free time before I got my dress form! I have not named her yet in the hopes that I can prevent her from springing to life. I do have to say that when we have company I remove her from the living room and put her elsewhere. We were having guests over last weekend so I had moved her into another room. The first time I walked past that room and saw her from the corner of my eye I almost had a heart attack thinking someone was in my apartment! I'm sure she got a laugh out of that!
I hope you get one for Christmas. I bought mine from Ebay and it was one of the most helpful sewing aids I've ever bought.

Hmmmm! Your dress form sounds like quite a character. I wonder if my house is big enough for the two of us....my dress form and I.
You'll have to let us know if you get one for Christmas, and if so, how you are dividing up the house so the two of you don't have 'issues'!
JT
OH! jt your obi is just stunning, well done. Man I'm so jealous, enjoy every minute you wear it.
lee
Thank you so much! I actually enjoyed making it - a big bonus!

I also need to say Wow!!Your sash is.....I am at a loss of words.......Wow!!I can so relate to the not wanting to cut the beautiful fabric!!Thanks for sharing your work!Connie
Thank you for the compliment! This was the first time I'd done anything with silk so I had no idea what it was going to do after I cut it. Turns out it really frays! I think knowing that the fabric store still had a large bolt of the fabric made it easier to cut into - I knew if I really messed it up I could get more! I'm toying with the idea of making a little purse out of the remnants I have left. We'll see.....
JT
Yes make that little purse!! That would be great!! Ok now you have to do it!! Or you can use the fabric and others to make a wonderful Big Bag that is all the rage now!!Use your silk and some other textures and solid colors to go with it!! Piece it together that could be an idea too!! Have fun...Connie
