I’ve been eyeing this magazine for a while and am tempted to subscribe. But it’s expensive and I’m not sure how those patterns make up. Has anyone tried them?

I haven't made any up, but look on http://www.PatternReview.com for reviews--I think there are some there. I just saw a recent issue of Ottobre, in English, and the designs sure are cute. I'm actually thinking of sizing a couple up for me!

I subscribed to Ottobre this year and love it. I have a toddler girl; the designs have the details that I've seen in the nicer kids clothing stores. Directions are brief but clear. It does seem a little pricey, but I've bought only one pattern for my little girl since subscribing, and have used Ottobre patterns to make pants, tops, a skirt and sweatshirt, and have plans and fabric for a blouse, two dresses, a capri outfit for next summer and more!
Hello snappy
You have two good replies here - just thought I would add.....
(I have not seen Ottobre sewing magazine but...) there is a group on Yahoo Groups - ottobre-english - which is quite active, with more than 700 posts this month alone. Could find lots of info there too. Kay.
