   Yes, women do still wear pantyhose and I'll date myself here as I want a classic look so I purchase Hanes Ultra Sheer hose in "natural" for a very sheer look. They are expensive but do last very well.

   Happy Sunday, Blingy!

   I haven't shopped in a mall-style 'department store' in ages, but all my grocery and discount stores (Jewel, Dominick's, Meijers, Target, like that) have huge displays of L'eggs and Just My Size panty-hose, and only very few facings of tights! Trade-ya? I get cold so easily, I'm always looking for tights, even in summer!

   I still consider myself hip and happening and I wear both tights and pantyhose.... each has their place. A lot of the new hose is so finely spun as to look like nude legs. I prefer tights (usually black) for daytime and under pants. They are part of my winter wardrobe. I go to "nude" look for evening and some of my suits (where opague tights is just too heavy). I also wear nude hose during the spring and summer months when the occasion warrants.

   I thought I had cracked "Americanisms" in relation to legwear and what I thought and purchased to wear on my legs are tights you in the U S called "pantyhose". Now it appears that you also have tights.

   Don't mind my little rant - this is the first time in ages that this website has not crashed when I entered it......why fix something that is not broken????

   The younger generation goes for bare legs, so tanners and tanning are important; the older generation still wears nude hose except with sandals or open-toed shoes. I choose whatever feels best at the moment and also like the L'eggs Sheer Elegance nude pantyhose.
