Pattern making software

meo75 | Posted in Equipment and Supplies on

I was wondering if anyone has had success with the new pattern making software?  Is there any one in particular?  I am looking to design my daughter’s wedding gown.

    Hi Meo75,

I use Willd Ginger's Pattern Master. I have Boutique and Celebrations. You would want Celebrations for formalwear. I've used both a number of times, mostly for clients. Sometimes I use it only for a fitting sample, and do all my design work in flat pattern, but I recently made an off-the-shoulder wedding gown that turned out very nice. You can download a demo as I recall, and there is a user forum to post questions. http://www.wildginger.com
There is a learning curve, especially if you haven't used graphic software before, so give yourself plenty of time.

    Good luck!

Juliette: Thank you so much for the info.  Wild Ginger is the one I kept coming back to.  I will try the demo.  Take care!  Malia
