Has anyone used the pattern making software by Bernina called My Label?
If so, what do you think? I’m not a typical shape and would like to get interested in my own designs and it sounds too good to be true.

My Label is not on the market yet, some time very soon, but not yet. I've seen it demo'd. I believe there are about 50 measurements you need to plug in. there is a demo model on line at Bernina USA that you can download and play with.
There are only 20 styles in the program at this point, I thought that was rather limited. I suppose they will add more in the future, probably for a price

Thanks for your input - I didn't realize it's not available. I have no idea of the cost either. I don't want to get my hopes up and find out that it is cost prohibitive. Anyone know the approximate cost?
I believe the My label by bernina is $500.00 I thought that was rather pricey for what you get. The selling point that I think will get many home sewers is that after you plug in your measurements, it shows a model with your figure, then after you select the design you can select fabric and put the outfit on the model so you can "see what you look like" I doubt its very realistic. You can also 'scan in your own fabric' These are cute niceties for people, I know I have a hard time visualizing a finished product in the fabric I picked, but I wouldn't pay $500.00 to get it. Esp when I don't think it would realistically show how the fabric will behave (think slinky vs stiff fabric)
I agree that $500 is too much to pay. This is what I needed to know. Thanks for the valuable info.
I have the demo downloaded to a CD but haven't had time to play with it yet. I am hoping to get patternmaking software from Santa this year. I also plan to test drive the Wild Ginger software.
Does anyone have recommendations?
You might want to check http://www.patternreview.com too, they may have reviews on it. Mary
