My favorite section of the magazine is the pattern reviews. I love to see what’s new and how well it works for inspiration. I love knowing the level of difficulty and the fabric recommendations, but I would really like to see a “figure” recommendation (pear shape, boyish figure, etc.). I always fall in love with the way it looks on the pattern picture, but forget that my figure is not the same as the model’s!
Love the how-to articles that are pattern free. My gypsy skirt turned out beautifully and I’m looking forward to trying the kimono belt.
The master’s classes have given me more confidence in my ability to sew beautiful garments. I always thought my skill level was low because my mother taught me the basics and I taught myself the rest through trial and error, but being able to follow and understand the steps in the master’s class lets me see that I know more than I give myself credit for!
Keep up the good work!

Deepika Prakash (the woman who runs this free-membership review site) is a frequent contributor to Threads and she knows her stuff. Users post digital pics of completed garments and report how the pattern performed. Hugely useful!
