Is anyone using peached cotton twill or canvas? Where can I buy it? Is it lightweight enough for shorts and long pants that would be comfy in our southwest summer heat?

If this is the same as brushed cotton twill I have not seen it in a few years. But that may just be my location.
It just sounds like it would make the neatest shorts and pants. If you hear of a source, please keep me in mind.
desert marigold
PS---I was thinning desert marigolds in my wildflower bed, all 150' of it, as the sun came up this morning.
Is peached cotton the same as chamois cloth? Chamois cloth is densely woven cotton with a very soft brushed nap on one side, and it's sold in the major fabric stores during fall and winter. My hubby loves the chamois shirts sold in outdoor gear stores, but he's too tall for them, so I made him his own. It's very warm fabric, so I wouldn't make shorts or summer clothes of it.
I haven't actually felt or seen this material yet but from the description in several women's ready to wear catalogs I would think that it would be a soft light weight twill. The chamois is more of a winter weight and heavier napped. I'll save your address and get back to you if I have any success.
