Peau de Soie precovered buttons – source

dmcshan | Posted in Gather For A Chat on

I am searching for a source for white peau de soie pre-covered buttons, 1/2 inch in diameter, for my granddaughters’ communion dresses.  I need 30 buttons.  Lamode sells buttons, 2 to a card, but they are 5/8 inch, which is a bit too large for a child.  Any information regarding sources for this type of button would be greatly appreciated.  I live in Kenner, LA, a suburb of New Orleans and our local sources are very limited.  Thank you for any help you might offer.

    Hi dmschan,

I did an internet search and found several sizes.

How does 10 for $1.40 sound (plus shipping)?  They have 25 sets avail.  http://cgi.ebay.com/1-2-BRIDAL-WHITE-FABRIC-COVERED-SHANK-BUTTONS-10CT_W0QQitemZ290038782606QQcmdZViewItem

Or if you wanted 3/8" instead:  http://search.ebay.com/_W0QQsassZlblank10cveQQhtZ-1

I did see a business in my search, but they don't say what size the "small" white satin covered buttons are - and they are 12 for $3.75, so I thought I'd skip posting that link.

Hi Elisabeth,I was just cruising the threads and I checked out your profile. The picture is adorable. I don't blame you for not wanting to exercise around the deerflies. Ouch!Marcy
