Pellon and Burda

JeanEsther | Posted in Fabric and Trim on

I can’t find the Pellon interfacings listed in Burda magazines (e.g., 700G), not even on the Pellon Website. Does Pellon use different product numbers in the USA? If so, is there a chart that shows equivalents?

Hi . Just joined the list today, so this reply might be too late . Pellon is Vilene. There are definately different #'s between continents as they manufacture in several places according to needs in each place. They are in the process of taking the name Pellon off ( this was used for domestic products) and relabeling everything Vilene. We are now seeing this and the #'s will show some consistency around the world but not all products will be in all countries. There are stricker standards in N.A. in reagards to formeldehye content so some products sold in Europe cannot be sold here. ( this would be in some very heavy weight ones). You could email Vilene ( Fruedenburg) and ask what the equivilent is
