I am ready to begin sewing again after a long hiatus. My pinking shears are heavy and right-handed. Does anyone have any advice for me as to brand and comfort? I have a serger but pinking shears are one of my have-to-have tools.
Thanks so much for your help.

Artis, I use a pinking blade on my rotary cutter in place of pinking shears. I haven't used my pinking shears in ages. I mostly use the blade for cutting out interfacing. I know you asked about shears specifically, but I thought I would throw in a little bit of information.
I use a rotary pinking shear. Although the handle is angled for the right hand, the shear doesn"t "care" how the handle is pressed--the rotary mechanism is independent of one's grip. Don't know if they come in left-handed models. Since you mentioned yours are right-handed, I assume you are of the opposite persuasion. Mine is Crane brand, and ancient. Congratulations on getting back into sewing!
I guess I need to get up to speed on all the new tools - rotary cutters are "new" to me. It sounds a lot easier to use than shears.
Thank both of you for enlightening me.

I like you like the traditional pinking shears and have several pairs but, there is a major problem with them. Getting them sharpened. I have seen seveeral brands a Joanns etc that seem to be rather nice but then again, sharpening. Don't give up keep looking.
