pintuck foot (5, 7 or 9 groove) Viking

Noelle | Posted in Equipment and Supplies on

Does anyone use the pintuck foot from Husqvarna Viking?

If so, does it work best on batiste or soft cotton to use

stabalizer?  Thanks!

no, the stabilizer will interfere with the tuck.  practice and have fun.

The pintuck foot will give you a slightly different effect on different fabrics. A batiste, handkerchief linen, or any other lightweight fabric will give it a nice 'tuck', a heavier fabric will not pull up quite as much, but will still have a pin tuck effect. You do NOT want to use stabilizer because you want the fabric to bunch up in the groove. You can also cord the pintuck by placing a very fine crochet cotton on the bottom side of the fabric and have it caught in the bobbin thread. This helps to define the pintuck.
