polar fleece for machine quilting?
Has anyone had experience using polar fleece as a quilt batting? In searches I have found quilting sites that require that polar fleece not be used. And I have found one site (Nancy’s Notions) that uses polar fleece in a two layer quilt. I was hoping to find someone who has tried to quilt three conventional layers by machine. I figured it would be warm.

Why would you want to? There are so many battings available now which gives you the choice of how thick (or warm) you want your quilt to be. And batting is so much less expensive and lighter weight (even the higher loft batts would be lighter in WEIGHT than polar fleece). I'm only suggesting you think about this before investing in that much fleece.
On the other hand, experimentation is always interesting...let us know how it turns out! Maybe you will be the source of the next great "craze". Good luck.
