I got a good deal on some pretty cotton fabric with beads presewn onto it. Any tips for cutting and sewing it. I’m worried about ruining my scissors.

I'd use my best non-sewing scissors. In my house, that includes Fiskars and my Henckels kitchen shears. Both remain sharp after cutting through all kinds of stuff and can definitely handle cotton.
Before you cut, though, check the back side of the fabric to see how the beads are attached. If there are long lengths of unknotted thread, you will want to secure any spot that intersects with a cutting line. If the beads are glued on or stitched and knotted independently, you won't need to do this.
Thank you very much for the tips!
Use your best non-fabric scissors; I have found that the beads kind of slip to the side and don't get cut if you don't force the cutting. Also, if you secure the threads in the seam allowance before cutting (white craft glue is my favorite) you will save time and be much happier. You can do this from the right side as any glue will be within the seam allowance. Also, often beads will slip to the side while sewing if you sew slowly and give them a chance. Galey
You can use pliers to break any beads that will be within the seam allowance or along the stitching line. You might use a zipper foot if you want to preserve and not sew over beads very close to the stitching line.
