Problems with Steam a Seam

RITAE1 | Posted in General Sewing Info on

Hi:

I need help — I accidentaly used “Steam a Seam” on a boiled wool jacket that I’m making & now can’t get if off.  Has anyone had this problem & come up with a solution?

Thanks,

Rita in Chicago

With these kinds of messes, which I make frequently, I have had really good results by calling the manufacturer's customer service. Usually these people know what works! God bless you Galey

You know I never thought of that.

      Thanks so much

I wonder if Undo would work - the stuff that takes stickers off.

      Hi:

I've never heard of the stuff - where do you get it?

      Thanks,

      Rita

It's probably in the cleaning section or perhaps in the stationery section. It is meant to take sticky tags off hard surfaces and it really works well. It comes in a little plastic bottle with a scraper edge attached.

Great - thanks so much -- I'll look for it this week end.
