Is the pleater attachment as useful as a gathering foot? It is easy to use and worth the money?
Thanks for your inputs.

I'm unfamiliar with the pleater attachment.
I loosen the screw on the right side of the ruffler and remove the bottom blade. Set the "gathering" depth for greater than 2:1. This depends on your stitch length. When I do rows of pleats that I know I'll be removing,(smocking) I set the stitch length long and ruffler at #2 and use a scrap piece of fabric to make sure the needle catches enough of the edge of my single folded piece. Then I just sew rows. The bottom blade is really needed when your gathering one piece of fabric and stitching to an ungathered piece at the same time.Let me know how this pleater attachment works out if you get it.
