My husband is an avid golf fan. I want to make a golf quilt for him. I want the quilt squares to form a picture of a golf course. Is there a place that can create the design that would show which color squares go where, etc.?
Thanks for your thoughts & suggestions.

do you have access to a computer with adobe photoshop? you can scan photos and use the 'filters' to break them down into hard-edge color shapes (as opposed to natural gradation).
there are other photo programs that can do this too.
grid paper is also helpful if you want to stayaway from computers.
Great idea!
Thanks,
Terry
I played gold for many years. All I can envision is a lot of green with sand traps, water hazards & cart paths. Maybe an interpretation in fabric of famous golf locations would be interesting. Callaway Gardens is one that comes to mind. It is very colorful in the Spring when the azaleas are in bloom. Search 'Golf Art" for some more ideas
That's an excellent suggestion.
Thanks,
Terry
You might want to check out the forum at http://www.equilter.com. I get thier newsletter and those ladies love to quilt! They are extremely knowledgeable. I order thier fabrics too, great items and excellent customer service. The owner is a very published fabric designer and quilter. Mary
