I’m searching for a raglan sleeve tee pattern for my 3 yr old, who needs a size 4. I found a Burda (9748) that goes up to a size 3 (US) which is a bit too small (but I did buy anyway for my younger son) and another one for sizes 7 and up. I did find one that could work, McCall’s M4364, but the sleeves are actually too short. So, I’m either looking for another pattern or for info on the technicality involved in lengthening the raglan sleeve of the McCall’s pattern.

Have you considered using the top from a p j pattern ? I absolutely love Simplicity 9853 and have sewn it with long sleeves, short sleeved version, football jersey style with 3/4 sleeve, added gathers to the front center piece before ribbing for a more girly look etc. I sure have gotten a lot of tops and bottoms out of that 99 cent purchase. I do not know if there is more ease because it is a p j pattern. My grandchildren are skinny so I usually use a small body and use the bigger sizes for sleeves and length. Raglan works great as shoulder and armhole size fit them.
Perfect! Thank you. I'd been looking for sleepwear pattern's too but this one did not show up in the current pattern books out in the store so I didn't see it. One order placed. Now, hoping it doesn't take too long to arrive.......;)
Kwik Sew had a pattern for raglan sleeves for children......I think sizes 4-7 in the same pattern...then you copy the size you want to use.

Kwik-Sew's #2893 for girls and #2894 for boys contains raglan sleeve shirt patterns in sizes XS (4/5) to XL (12/14). Also, their #3101 is for a sweatsuit pattern with raglan sleeves. Their web site is http://www.kwiksew.com
