reattaching zipper slide

randommixer | Posted in General Sewing Info on

Does anyone know how to reattach a zipper slide? There’s a pattern for zipper bags in the previous issue of Threads that looks fun and easy except the zipper part. I removed the slide from a zipper but wasn’t successful reattaching.

I clicked on your link, but that discussion is about piping. Am I missing something? I've never used these boards before.

Try scrolling down to the bottom on the left column. Then type zipper slider into the search box. Press enter. A list of posts about this problem will come up. This project has been a learning experience for me. I have learned how to put a slide on as a result. The bags turn out really cute.

I guess I wasn't the only one flummoxed by the zipper issue. I think I'll try to make a bag using a longer zipper, as a few others did. Thanks for the link. I might even try again to reattach the slide, you know, just to see if I can.

I don't know how that link got messed up, since the zippered bag discussion was on my monitor. Computers often don't cooperate with me, but at least sewing machines like me. I'm glad you got steered to the right link.
