I have been searching for the article by Kathryne Brenne on jeans construction. I just can’t remember where I saw the article; I thought it was Threads, but no luck there. I was reading it in late Sept., so it was published about that time. Maybe it was Vogue Mag?? Anyway, if anyone can send me the reference, it would be greatly appreciated!

The Brenne jeans article was in Vogue Patterns Magazine.
The Threads jeans article was written by Sandra Betzina. Issue 111.

Hey Shannon, thanks! We meet in the strangest places! I thought the Brenne article was in Vogue, but I cannot remember which month! Can you help me there? Or is there some other way to access the article? Thanks so much.
Taylormade and Shannon:How different were the two articles? Generally speaking, I find Kathryn Brenne's articles address questions I have on a topic.....and I find Sandra Betzina to be more superficial in scope. Perhaps that is more a matter of the degree of experience I have rather than their writing per se. So....is it worth finding a copy of Brenne's article????
Strange that you find S. Betzina's articles superficial. I learn a lot from her printed articles and books. In fact, I couldn't sew without her "Power Sewing" books. Anyhow, the Brenne article was memorable; she used Sandra Betzina's pattern in the article, and gave lots of advice on seam finishes and embellishments that I really wanted to look at before I made my jeans....unfortunately I can't find my copy of the Vogue ,ag & have made the jeans without benefit of her advice. I did find some help in Betzina's "More Fabric Savvy" book. I think the article by Brenne is well worth a look!
I can't find a Vogue index...but I know it was in the issue just prior to the current one. I'm pretty sure that would be called the "Sept/Oct" issue.
