Reconstructed Sweaters

I have heard that there is a method to utilitizing vintage sweaters by taking them a part and reconstructing them into various articles of clothing.  I have three mens sweaters that I would like to make something for myself.  Does anyone know where I can get instruction on cutting, contruction and finishing?  Thanks  Georg

    I have made a purse out of a shrunken sweater, but I suppose you can make just about anything ( as long as it is smaller) out of an unwanted sweater. You probably want to stabilize the edges with a serger, and use knitted fusible to help maintain the shape of you pieces.  What did you have in mind to make?
