I know this is a very rudimentary question, but I keep forgetting the answer. If you stretch the fabric across the grain, it folds to “which” side?

If it's tricot knit it rolls to the right side.
Oh! Thank you! It's rib knit, but if I'd guessed on my own, I'd have gone the other way! LOL!

If you can't tell after kooking at it for a bit, does it really matter? Fleece rolls to the right.
I'm not sure. The last knit I worked on I tried to lettuce the edges, and it wouldn't work right. I was thinking that that was because I had sewn it entirely on the wrong side. So I'm trying to not repeat the mess I made on that! LOL!
