I have a Viking 960 Electronic sewing machine it can not attach a magnetic seam guide. Is there a seam guide available for this sewing machine that has a height of about 1/2″ or so.

If you go to the drugstore/pharmacy you can find a product that is used for corns/calluses. It may be called moleskin? It is sticky backed, beige color, it works for a seam guide and can be removed as desired. You cut it into strips the size you need if you can't find it in strips. Works great!
You might try http://www.husqvarnaviking.com They also have a search for the nearest Viking dealer in your area. Mary
Thank you Mary the suggestion, I will give it a try. I talked to a Viking Dealer and there are no magnetic ones for the Viking 960, I was using the quilter guide and it doesn't seem to work as well, it keeps shifting up no matter how I thighten the knob. Thanks again Marlece
I keep blue painters tape handy and simply put a piece of that on the bed of the machine. It's easy to remove and reposition.
I like to use part of a pad of the sticky back notes - like Post-It notes - when working with children. You can use as thick or thin a stack as you need and they remove easily without messing up the bed of the machine.
Thank Your that is what I was looking for, something with a high back to it. to keep the fabric in alignment. so it will not stray. Thanks again Marlece
