Searching for fire retardant fabric

roni | Posted in Fabric and Trim on

I’m looking for fire retardant fabric that is nascar approved for drivers

suits. They are called either proban or nomex fabrics. I would appreciate any

 information on sources for these.

I just bought my first copy of Threads today. I love the magazine!

check the dupont web site for where you can buy nomex as they are the manufacturers of the product.

Also you may want to check into the area science stores, the ones that carry lots of gears and such like a supply place not a hobby store.  Or check if there is a local rocket launch club there is usually someone there that will have info on a source.  If not you can email me and I will see if I can get you some from my local supply place.
