Searching for Knits

Pearl5 | Posted in General Discussion on

Hello everyone.  I am taking a class, Sewing with Knits,  and I am looking for knit fabrics, preferably natural fibers, in an attractive pattern for the top and solid color for pants or skirt.   My local fabric store currently has only solid colors which are not appealing for fall.  I have been browsing on the internet but so far I haven’t really found anything interesting.  Any suggestions for a source for something that might make me look less like a middle age frump (which I am, but trying to disguise).

Thanks.

Try http://www.emmaonesock.com. I haven't ordered from them myself, but have heard good reports on this site about their service and quality. The fabrics look wonderful online. You should be able to find something suitable.

Denverfabrics.com should have what you are looking for, they do in the store anyway.   Lots of nice cotton knits with different amounts of lycra.  I love natural fabrics too.  Mary

There's a good assortment of all cotton knit solids at http://www.wazoodle.com.

Nice looking cotton prints with adult designs are rare....

Christine Johnson has high quality cotton knits on her site.  I believe they are solids, but I think there is a large color selection.
