seat belt purses

kayrosie | Posted in General Discussion on

Okay does anybody have any information about how to make seat belt purses.  I have found the site to buy them on line but would like to know how I can find the material and so forth to make them. They are so neat, any ideas are welcome.

Thank you so much for the site. It is exactly what I was looking for.  Not sure after reading it if I want to tackle this purse.  Looks good though doesn't it.  I love the way it is shinning and looks so good.  Has anybody thought about making one.  Would like to know what you think about the whole process.

Thank You!!!! I love it. The first place I would try is the junk yard. Some of them may be cut, though. For matching colors, get as many from one vehicle as possible, even when you think they are the same shade, they won't be once washed. Older Truck models have great buckles to incorporate......we made belts out of them in highschool.

I know they won't be new, but with clear nail polish they can be washed.....or you can probably singe the ends......in fact, it should work better that way.

    GOOD LUCK!!!!!

Not sure I want to tackle this job.  It looks like it is a lot of work.  I think I will stick to the ones I make all ready.  The placemats and then the ones with Pet Screen. They are not hard and everybody likes them.  If somebody tries them or has made them please send pictures.
