On 17 October 2008 in Brussels an unusual catwalk took place. It was called “Second Hand Second Life”. The clothes shown there were creations of new Belgian designers. The materials used came from a charity clothes collection called “Les petits riens” (“the little nothings”). The designers were to use these given away clothes to create new garments. At the end, the new garments were sold at an auction which brought the sum of 26.400 Euros to “Les petits riens”. I found this a genious idea!
