Sew Stylish Magazine

Speechtx | Posted in Talk With Us on

I tried to subscribe to Sew Stylish and was sent a letter saying the magazine was no longer going to be subscription. Has it folded totally, or will it only be available in stores? I really loved the few issues that were published.

Sew Stylish is only offered in the stores now. If you are registered here and have your choices set to get notices you will get an email and can sign up then to have it delivered. The difference being without a subscription there isn't any way to get any discount on the magazine. That bothers me because I live on a fixed income and trying to spread a little money a long way is difficult. I am sure there are many Threads subscribers who don't get Sew Stylish for that reason. I wanted to have the local library get it but they only do subscriptions; they don't have time to watch for magazines and then send someone out to buy them.

    Hi speechtx

this link will take you to the Editors explanation and comments by members here of SewStylish Subscriptions.7062.1

(probably the same letter you received)

I subsribed very early and received the first 4 issues. I live in Australia and now purchase the 'special' issues online as my newsagents don't carry those.

I subscribed, then heard it folded and I was very frustrated trying to contact someone for refund.  I hadn't had that happen before.  I was surprised.  I bought the first copy, liked it, and don't understand, but that's how it is.  I really liked it better than "Threads."

I really liked the first few issues of the magazine too. The instructions were very clear and they had lots of pictures. The newer versions are good but I find them more like a craft magazine than a sewing magazine.
You should be able to call Taunton customer service about your subscription. jane

I only bought one or two issues. I was surprised to find revamped articles from THREADS, which I love. I did not buy any more Sew Stylish.
