Dear dmorvant,   I finally decided on the Ellegro1.  I searched for several months.  I purchased a 1 year old trade in, from a very good dealer.  I have had it only a week,  had one lesson, and I love it.  Most of the information I read from other sewing forums, 'get it from a know dealer'.  I purchased mine from Be-sew-Inn.  Great people.  I live in Oklahoma.  Maybe you have this dealer in your area.   Good Luck.  Let us know what you decided on.

Thanks for your reply.  I did a search on the Ellegro1 and couldn't find a reference.  Who makes it?

I almost bought a Pfaff top of the line and when I went in to buy it, the stiches weren't even and the button hole wasn't pretty.  The dealer told me it was the new update she just down loaded and she will have it fixed monday, I am leary.

You are welcome.  Ellageo is made by Babylock.  They have the latest model now, the Ellageo3.  Too rich for my budget.  Try their website:  http://www.Babylock.com  They show the Ellageo3.  Good luck.  Sincerely, Judy
