Does anybody have any experience with sewing for a young woman who uses a wheelchair and had limited arm mobility. Do patterns exsist? articles?, guidance on how to alter ready made clothes.

I suggest you see if there is an ASG (American Sewing Guild) chapter in your area, county extension office, or go to http://www.nancysnotions.com and click on "contact us" and send them an email requesting help.

Or go to her website, click on "tv show"  which is "Sewing With Nancy" on PBS, go to the bottom of the page, click on "Creative Kindness".  You will find alot of information there for a variety of needs.

Hope this helps!  I have seen clothing patterns that use velcro and such for those with unique needs.  Perhaps someone else here remembers a site with sewing for our vetrans with prosthesis and other needs for ease of dressing.  Mary

I know that a couple of years ago I borrowed a book from my local library on this. I am not sure of the name of the book, but I am planning to go to the library this week and will see if I can find it again.
