Hello all,
I’m new to this forum and in need of some info. We recently bought a new Bernina machine for my wife but refused to raise our hands in surrender to the stick up they were conducting to buy the cabinet for the machine.
I am an accomplished wood worker and intend to build her a really first class piece of furniture to house her new toy in.
Question is can any of you help me with a plan source for the cabinet and maybe a source for the Bernina peculiar hardware that might be needed for the cabinet.
In case I don’t make it back here for a spell, please feel free to mail me at [email protected] if you can help. If I get started right now, I might finish it by (next) christmas 😉

I hope you sent this same message to Gatherings' brother chat place: Knots. The projects I see done there are gorgeous and the directions are readable. And lots of sources for supplies. rjf
Did not post it on knots. But only because I seldom post there. I spend my Wood working forum time on Woodnet, sponsored by August Home Publishing.
We've decided to use the Wood Magazine plan that Rockler and a few others sell for the wood part. Search is still on for the lift mechanism used in the Bernina cabinets. There are other lift mechanisms available and we may have to use them. Won't be the end of the world.
