Sewing Machine Companies

donnasdream | Posted in General Discussion on

I plan to buy a new machine sometime this year and I made some online inquiries about my favorite brand but heard some disturbing news about a few companies and the one I want in particular. I will not name the brands but I would like more feedback about the main manufactures of sewing machine before I buy. Has anyone heard of any companies going out of business or being sold.

I have an almost 30-year-old Pfaff which is a fantastic sewing machine. This past May I purchased a new Pfaff, and I love it, too. Your dealer can be your best friend, so find a dealer you can 'click' with and test drive everything you can. Pfaff is part of Viking and Singer these days. I don't care about the home office so much as I care about my relationship with my dealer.
