Sewing Zen Article

TashaGirl | Posted in Feedback on Threads on

The 25 ways to Sewing Zen article came just in time – I sing in a choral group that ordered new outfits made from Polyester crepe georgette – the sleeves were 5″ too long and the skirt about 9″ too long – I tried
some of the suggestions on sewing shears, but the hint in the sewing zen article on hemming chiffon with a twin needle was PERFECT! The
polyester was too springy to get a good start with my rolled hem
foot.  I couldn’t get a good press on this fabric either.  My finished
edges using the twin needle are great!  (Also better than the
professional jobs that my colleagues paid for!)  Thanks for the
good timing!

    Hi TashaGirl,

All I can say is You Go! Isn't it great when you discover a new technique and it works really well? I would love to see a picture of these hems.
